We are booked at Contemporary Oct 8. Any idea if the monorail to Epcot will be running?

Greetings, Denise, and welcome to planDisney!

This is a great question, and one I have been wondering myself! So, I checked with a Cast Member to get the scoop. Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t know when the Walt Disney World Monorail will continue its regular route from the Transportation and Ticket Center to Epcot. Currently, the Monorail is only being used for transportation to and from Magic Kingdom Park. The Cast Member I spoke with recommended checking back closer to your vacation for more updated information.

Not to worry though, because there are still plenty of good transportation options to choose from during your stay at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, ranging from Walt Disney World Bus Service, Water Transportation, Monorail Transportation, the Disney Skyliner, or ride-share services such as Uber or Lyft. Another great option to consider is renting or bringing your own car. Parking at the four theme parks is complimentary for resort Guests!

I’m so excited for your upcoming getaway to the Most Magical Place on Earth! You won’t want to miss the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival -- check out Epcot World Showcase to discover the many diverse offerings available! Plus, Magic Kingdom Park is a feast for the eyes with festive fall and Halloween décor. Since you’re a Florida resident, you may also want to check out these special offers available right now at Walt Disney World Resort!

Please stop by with any additional questions you may have, Denise… we’re all EARs!

Can’t wait to see ya’ real soon!
