Hi. I have booked connecting veranda state rooms on the Disney Wonder (deck 6). I plan to decorate the doors and the space between them. Can you please tell me how much space between the 2 doors so I can plan my decorations? Thank you

Ahoy there, Melanie! Welcome aboard planDisney!

I absolutely love hearing from so many of our friends in the Southern Hemisphere as you all get excited about the "Disney Magic at Sea" itineraries! I'm especially thrilled that you all will be sailing aboard my absolute favorite ship on the fleet, the Disney Wonder! Whenever we climb aboard it's always an incredible feeling - like seeing an old friend for the first time in forever, if you know what I mean!

When it comes to stateroom door decorations, it sounds like you're going all out, which is always great to see. My family loves seeing what our fellow Guests come up with to turn that blank canvas into a work of art that Rapunzel would be proud of!

While the dimensions of all non-accessible doors are roughly 73.02 x 197.48 centimeters, the actual opening of each door is just over 58.4 centimeters wide. What's that, you expected me to use inches...perish the thought, haha! Just remember that when you include the door frame, the door frame itself will be a little greater than 7.25 centimeters wide around the sides and top!

When it comes to the space between the connected rooms, I sailed on over to a crew member to ask this question, and the closest approximation we could find was roughly one meter. This is probably not exact, but it should give you a decent estimate for planning your decorations! OH, and one more thing: I do know that aboard the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder, there is sometimes a handrail located on this section of wall between stateroom doors, so be sure to take that into account!

Please be sure to keep in mind that no tape, glue, or adhesive materials are allowed when making your stateroom door decorations; only magnets are permitted.

Hopefully, that gets your treasure map marked with the proper coordinates for you to make smooth sailing toward your cruise! Thank you so much for your question, Melanie, and if any others surface as you continue planning, please drop me another line here at planDisney!

Fair winds, following seas, and happy planning!

    Andrew
