We're booked in a 2BR Club Level suite in the Main Building for travel in September 2024. Is the recent refurbishment complete on these rooms and MB lobby? Do you anticipate any construction activity in the Main Building in September 2024? Thanks!

Hello Nicole, and welcome to planDisney!

Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your enchanting escape to Walt Disney World later this year. It sounds like you've reserved a Club Level suite in the main building at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. What an incredible experience that will be! Step outside your spacious suite and into the Royal Palm Club, where sweeping views of Seven Seas Lagoon and tasty treats await.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is undergoing a large-scale renovation to improve the Guest experience at this flagship resort. Nearly all Guest rooms have been refurbished, save for those in the main building; work on these rooms will be completed early this year, well before your September arrival date. I had the opportunity to stay in a refurbished room last spring, and I was impressed by the beautiful new decor and furnishings. The updated color palate is fresh, bright, and airy, and the perfect backdrop to settle in for a relaxing stay.

While room renovations will wrap up soon, exterior portions of the resort and the main lobby may still be a work in progress throughout 2024. While Cast Members work hard to minimize Guest impact during refurbishment, you may experience closures or notice construction work during your vacation.

I know the main lobby is integral to the resort experience at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and I wish I had more precise information regarding its refurbishment timeline. At this point, I recommend following the Disney Parks Blog and checking the resort's website for construction and Guest updates. If you ultimately decide to make other plans, nearby Disney's Polynesian Village Resort offers several suites with Club Level access as well as unique, two-bedroom, over-the-water bungalows. Disney's Riviera Resort features accommodations similar to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. While this resort does not provide Club Level service, the two and three-bedroom villas here are absolutely gorgeous and just as spacious as the two-bedroom suite you have currently reserved.

I hope this has been helpful, Nicole. I'll keep my fingers crossed that renovations move quickly at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and, like Mary Poppins, your vacation is practically perfect in every way. Thanks for coming to see us at planDisney, and have a magical day!
