    Booked Chef Mickey's (yay!)! We're staying off prop. can we take monorail, where is the stop? Also, as it is buffet - what happens if the characters come to our table while we're at the buffet line? Or do you not go to the line until you've met the charact

    So you are gearing up to party with Mickey?!

    You can park at the Contemporary Resort with a confirmed reservation at Chef Mickey's. Usually the Security Guard will give a 3 hour dining and shopping parking permit to guests who park at the resort. You will pay the daily parking fee when you pass through the Magic Kingdom toll booth on your way to the Contemporary Resort.

    To arrive via monorail, you will enter WDW property and follow signs towards the Magic Kingdom. You will have to pay the daily parking fee at the Magic Kingdom toll booth. From there, follow signs to the Transportation and Ticket Center which serves at the Magic Kingdom's parking lot.

    Once parked, you will either walk or take a tram to the TTC. Follow the sign to the Resort Monorail. You will make stops at the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Magic Kingdom and then the Contemporary Resort.

    When dining at Chef Mickey's, you'll be able to see the characters as they make their way around the room. We just make sure that we are at our table as a character gets near our area. Usually we take turns going to the buffet and this allows the person at the table to be on character watch. If you see a character approaching, you would then have time to go grab your family.

    Chef Mickey's is a large restaurant and it's easy to gauge when the characters will arrive near your own table. If for some reason, a character does miss your table while you are at the buffet, simply let a Cast Member know. We have eaten here many times and never missed meeting one of our Disney friends!
