Booked a character meal for 3 ppl, but one can no longer go. Daughter & I will still go. I can't modify the reservation online (only option listed is cancel). Don't want to cancel in case I can't get the day/time back. What should I do?

    Hi Jessica,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I’m so excited about your character dining experience! Whether you are starting your day with a magical Princess breakfast adventure or enjoying dinner at Goofy’s Kitchen, character dining is always a wonderful experience. Being able to meet characters while enjoying a great meal is a wonderful way to make the most of your time and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Now that your party size has changed, I agree that it’s probably best to hold onto the reservation you already have. Since the change is only by one person, I recommend keeping your current reservation. On the day of your reservation, just let the Cast Member checking you in know that your party will now be two instead of three.

While enjoying your character dining, be sure to have your phone or autograph book ready for characters to sign! When I went on a Disney World trip with my sister, she brought hand-drawn pictures of each character for them to sign. They were so impressed, and it made our interaction even more memorable!

I hope this was helpful, Jessica! If you have more questions or would like advice on what else the Disneyland Resort and Parks have to offer, feel free to write back. I’m here to sprinkle a little extra magic on your Disney trip.

    Have a wonderful time!
