    I have booked the character breakfast at the Contemporary Resort for July 2nd it is my daughters 6th birthday. We are going at 8 am then plan to go to the Magic Kingdom for the day. We are not sure where to park for the breakfast?

    Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary is a great way to start the day and a wonderful birthday celebration!

    If you are staying on Disney property, I would opt to use the Disney buses instead of my car. Resorts run special buses to get guests to early-morning dining reservations. You can check with the Guest Services desk in your resort lobby the night before to let them know what time your reservation is and find out what time you should be at the bus station.

    If you are not staying on property, your plan is a little trickier.

    You can park at the Contemporary for your breakfast, but guests generally are given a two-hour parking limit for dining. So you would likely need to move your car to the Magic Kingdom parking lot after breakfast.

    The best option is to park in the Magic Kingdom lot and take the resort monorail from the Transportation and Ticket Center to the Contemporary. Then, after breakfast, you can either walk or take the monorail to Magic Kingdom without worrying about your car.

    The only issue with that option may be timing. Magic Kingdom is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. on July 2. The parking lot at Magic Kingdom typically opens at least 90 minutes before the park. But if you don't park until 7:30, you might be rushed to get to the Contemporary on time.

    My advice would be to arrive at the parking entrance no later than 7:15. If cars are being allowed into the lot, go for it! You should then have time to make the transfer comfortably. If it's not open yet, go on to the Contemporary. Enjoy your breakfast celebration and deal with moving the car later if necessary.

    The cast member at the Contemporary parking entrance can give you specifics on how long you will be allowed to leave your car that day.
