Hi Michelle,
A
Walt Disney World vacation is all about spending time with friends and family, so it's awesome that your visit gives you a chance to see your Florida friend.
We live about 90 miles from Walt Disney World and frequently drive over for the day to visit vacationing friends. It's especially fun to visit Fort Wilderness, where we can grill and hang out with our friends in such a beautiful, relaxing location.
At
Fort Wilderness, your friend can check in at security, show ID and give your cabin number for entry. If you have space for her car (parking is limited to one car per cabin), she can drive right to your front door. If not, she can park at the front and take a bus from the Outpost Depot to the loop with your cabin. Security will give her instructions.
If she plans to spend the night, you can call the
reservations number and add her to your reservation. There's a small charge per person per night for more than two adults in a cabin.
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love to help guests with their planning questions. Please let us know if we can do anything else for you as you make your plans.
Enjoy your time with your family and friends,
Wilma
