Just booked a cabin at fort wilderness resort. What are the details about taking your own personal golf cart? Is there room for a trailer and car?

    Hi Hannah!

I think you will love your stay in the Fort Wilderness Cabins during your next Walt Disney World vacation. They have been recently refurbished and redesigned offering better space and storage.

Guests may bring in their own golf carts for their stay. We actually have one we keep and store here in Florida so when we are at the RV sites we can use it to get around the Fort. They will ask you to not store the trailer at the cabins but instead store it in the overflow lot in the front of the resort. This is for long term storage for the guests as well as one day storage for guests who wish to visit the parks on their final check-out day. It is well secured and you will see many other trailers also parked there. You can drop off the trailer and unload the golf cart at this location and then drive the short distance to your cabin.

The cabins will have room for your car and the golf cart including an outside plug for charging if it is a battery operated one. Parking is available for golf carts at the marina, front bus depot, as well as Pioneer Hall and the pools and recreation facilities.

We love to be able to explore the other loops during our stays and especially during the holidays since so many guests bring their holiday decor along. Some of the sties are simply amazing!
