Geo from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

i booked CA resident 3 day ticket and i have a real id with my CA address but the person i am taking is 17 but doesn’t have a real id she went to go get it today and has the paper they give when u go can she use that and a school id

Hi Geo! Welcome to planDisney! The 3-Day Ticket offer for California residents has definitely created a lot of excitement, and I’m happy to help you sort through the details so you can plan with confidence.

This special offer is available exclusively to guests who reside in California. To use these tickets, each Guest will need to present a valid, government-issued photo ID that shows a California address at the time of admission. This requirement helps confirm eligibility for the offer.

A temporary paper ID along with a school ID would not meet that requirement, since the policy specifically calls for a government-issued photo ID. I know that’s probably not the answer you were hoping for, but there’s still a bright side. These tickets are valid through May 21, which gives you a nice window of time. Once your travel companion receives her official photo ID, you’ll be all set to activate those tickets and step into the magic together.

If your visit lines up before April 28, you’re arriving during one of the tastiest times of year at Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. It’s a celebration of California flavors that feels right at home along the walkways of Disney California Adventure. From festival marketplaces to live entertainment, it’s the kind of experience where you can snack your way from one end of the park to the other (with a scenic pause along Paradise Bay, of course). The Musubi Fried Rice is a standout this year and absolutely worth adding to your must-try list.

While you’re there, I also recommend making time for Soarin’ Over California. Its limited-time return is a bit like catching a beloved classic on the big screen again. Between the sweeping views and those familiar citrus-scented breezes, it’s a nostalgic journey that longtime fans really treasure. And if you enjoy spotting Hidden Mickeys, keep an eye on the golf ball during the Palm Springs scene (it’s a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment).

I hope this helps you feel a little more prepared as you plan your visit. If any other questions pop up along the way, we at planDisney are always delighted to help you plan your Disneyland adventures.

    Enjoy your next visit!
