Hiya, Daniel! Welcome to planDisney!
I’m happy to help with your question. Kicking off your Walt Disney World adventure with a visit to the Contemporary Resort and breakfast with Mickey is a fantastic idea. In fact, it’s something I’ve done with my family on a few occasions.
While your reservation for Chef Mickey’s does give you temporary access to parking at the Contemporary Resort, you’re correct that you can’t leave your vehicle there for an extended period of time. Parking for the Magic Kingdom, which is located at the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC), typically opens 60 minutes before
Early Entry, or 90 minutes before regular park hours. Based on the info you’ve shared, that means TTC parking will open at 6:30 AM. You can read more about Walt Disney World’s parking options, rules, and rates
here.
Once you arrive at the TTC, you’ll want to hop on the Monorail to get to the Contemporary Resort. You could also take a ferryboat from the TTC to the Magic Kingdom, and then take the walking path to the Contemporary Resort, but the Monorail is the quicker option in my experience. I would highly recommend downloading the
My Disney Experience app to your mobile device and using its directions feature once you’re on Walt Disney World property. I can provide step-by-step directions for your quickest route, whether it’s by land, air, or sea.
I hope this info is helpful, Daniel, and that you have a wonderful day at the Magic Kingdom. Pop right back if you have more questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Magical travels!
