    Just booked for August 2013. This trip we are staying at at the Yacht club. I decided on a standard room for our family of 5. is a standard view close to all the main things. Should I ask to put that on my reservation.

    Hi Christine! You have chosen one of my favorite resorts at Walt Disney World.....no actually it IS my favorite. Some of the standard rooms will be close to the lobby and elevators but other rooms will be closer to the Swan and Dolphin side and the quiet pool area. I do suggest you put the request on your reservation that you are close to the lobby/elevators. This can't be confirmed but it will at least give you a chance at one of those rooms. When you check in also ask about the room location and if it is not close enough see if there is anything available for you. Sometimes guests can get a different location if they are willing to wait until the room has been serviced by housekeeping. Good luck and enjoy!
