Hi Hannah,
We're so happy to see you back here at planDisney!
Your question really spoke to me as I am in a similar boat! April is one of my favorite times of the year to visit the Disneyland Resort, and you will often find me on Main Street, U.S.A. with some of my planDisney pals for our annual girls trip right around that time. The weather is absolute perfection - warm, but not too hot - and the spring break crowds have waned and the summer guests have yet to descend. It is often the most magical time to visit, in my opinion!
When I heard about the
Disneyland 70th Celebration festivities kicking off on May 16, 2025, I was filled with a true emotional whirlwind courtesy of our friends from "Inside Out" - complete joy hearing about all the exciting things to come, but a touch of sadness that I'd likely be missing out. As the resort starts to prepare for the festivities, you may see some 70th anniversary decor pop up ahead of the big day, but is unlikely new entertainment offerings will roll out beforehand. I know this is not the news you were hoping for, but with a quick reframe, I think we can find there's plenty of magic to go around in April.
The good news is that there is magic each and every day at the Happiest Place on Earth! During your visit, the
Food and Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure Park will be in full swing, running from February 28 through April 21, 2025. I love to grab a
Sip and Savor Pass so I can take full advantage of tasting as many delicious bites as possible. If you have a Jedi in your group, Disneyland Park is celebrating the
Season of the Force from March 28 - May 11, 2025 with the return of Hyperspace Mountain and something I am excited to experience for the first time - "Fire of the Rising Moons"! This is a new nighttime spectacular with a galactic touch!
To get excited for your trip, I always recommend checking out the
Hours and Events Schedule ahead of a visit which is where you can find timings for nighttime spectaculars, parades, and shows to help you plan out your park days. You'll also want to take a peek at the
Disney Parks Blog for the latest information about what's new - that's where you'll likely find a Foodie Guide for the Food and Wine Festival so you can earmark your must-try snacks!
One last note before I let you go. The 70th Celebration is a big one with a long runway - the Disneyland Resort will be partying through the summer of 2026 if you are able to find your way back to the magic!
I'll see you on Main Street!
Tara
