Just booked for April 2010 with the dining plan! I've heard that the portions at Disney are very large.. In case we are unable to finish, are we able to take our leftovers (ie doggie bag) at the Table Service restaurants?

    Hi Celestina,

You must be so excited for your upcoming vacation!  Our family travels using the dining plan quite frequently.  As long as you are dining at a restaurant where you order items off the menu, you can certainly ask for your uneaten portions to be wrapped up to take with you.  In fact, we often ask for our dessert to go so we can enjoy it back at our resort or while we are watching fireworks later in the evening.

I've never tried it, myself, but I would assume that if you are dining at a restaurant that serves food family style, you cannot ask for food to be wrapped up.  The same holds true for restaurants that serve food buffet style.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
