Booked AoA Feb2-8, reserved dinner at Chef Mickey's on Feb 2-do not have park passes for that day (planning in going to downtown Disney 1st day instead). Thoughts? Order to do theme parks Feb3-7 (have 5 day hopper passes)? Have 5 yr old son. Thanks!

    Hi Heather!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

You are coming during a relatively quiet time at Walt Disney World, so it really doesn't matter which park you visit on which day from a crowd perspective.  Instead, I would consider where you have dining reservations, which parks have Extra Magic Hours that you want to participate in, etc.  If there is no preference then I recommend something like the following:
    • Epcot
    • Disney's Animal Kingdom
    • Magic Kingdom
    • Disney's Hollywood Studios

If you don't think your or your 5 year old can wait that long for the Magic Kingdom, then definitely move it up, but I would still put Epcot first.  That is because Epcot isn't the most child friendly park and I think it is harder for a young child to go to Epcot after going to the Magic Kingdom.

With regards to February 2nd, I think going to Downtown Disney is fine.  You also might want to take the time to explore some of the Disney Deluxe Resorts.  It is real easy to get around the Magic Kingdom Deluxe Resorts via the Magic Kingdom monorail line.  Another Deluxe resort worth visiting and exploring is the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
