We are booked at AOA for April 21-26, 2013 in a Cars Family Suite...I have read on other forums that just because you booked a particular theme suite it is not guaranteed. Any truth to that? It is alot of $ to not get exactly what you want. Thanks.

    Hi Caroline!

I just spoke with a very nice Cast Member who explained the booking policy for the Family Suites. At Disney's Art of Animation Resort accommodations can be booked specifically for Cars Suites, Lion King Suites, Finding Nemo Suites and a fourth category under the general umbrella of "Family Suites." This is typically booked when Guests don't have a preference, or if there isn't availability in a particular area of the resort. When you made the reservation, were you able to specifically book the Cars Family Suites category? If so, you should be provided with that type of room in that particular area of the resort. If the reservation was made in the general category of "Family Suites," then there is no guarantee which type of themed suite you will get. If that is the case, a request can certainly be made for any area of the resort (e.g., Cars area). However, in the event the requested section is unavailable Disney does reserve the right to offer comparable accommodations elsewhere. Having said that, I know they will make every effort to fulfill every request. Please let me know if I can answer any other Disney Vacation planning questions for you.

Wishing you a most memorable visit to the Walt Disney World Resort!
