I’ve booked the 70th Anniversary tour for the last day of our trip. Where is the reserved viewing area for Paint the Night? I’d like to see the fireworks from Main Street during this trip so I want to know if I should plan to do that earlier in the trip.

Hi Sarah! Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by again to send us another great question!

A Guided Tour is a great way to add pixie dust to your vacation, and I'm so glad to hear you will get to enjoy the newest tour, A Story of Celebration: 70th Anniversary Guided Tour. I love that this tour includes a reserved area to enjoy Paint the Night Parade! The reserved viewing area for Paint the Night Parade that is associated with the tour is in the Town Square Plaza directly across from the stairs that lead to the Disneyland Railroad Train Station. I have watched a different parade from that reserved area, and several trees will block your view of the fireworks spectacular, Wondrous Journeys. If you want to try to see the fireworks that evening, I recommend moving up Main Street, U.S.A. to be closer to the castle. If you have flexibility in your plans, you might consider seeing the fireworks on a different evening. I recently learned that Wondrous Journeys includes beloved characters from more than 60 films spanning over 100 years of Walt Disney Animation Studios storytelling. The projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle are so beautiful, and you will want to have a great spot to see them!

I hope this information helps with your planning. Disneyland's 70th Anniversary is such a fun and happy celebration, and I'm sure you're going to have a magical vacation! Be sure to download the Disneyland Mobile App before you arrive to have quick and easy access to your Theme Park Tickets, attraction wait times, entertainment schedule, and much more!

If you have more questions before you arrive, please stop by planDisney again. We can't wait for you to be our guest, and we would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
