Hello. I have bookd a package for arrival June 13th trough the 18th. I am a single mom with 2 kids(4&6). Do you have any advice as to travel, packing, or anything that may make it alittle easier on me?

    Hi Liz!

I have traveled to Disney alone with two kids, so I'm hoping I can hep you "mom-storm" some ideas for making your trip as smooth as possible!
    • Packing -  take as little as possible, because "lugging" luggage and keeping tab on two kids is tough.  When I go alone, I take a max of two bags and make sure the smaller one can rest on top of the larger. It's great you're going in June, as the weather is warm.  Kids' t-shirts and shorts take up virtually no space.
    • Pre-pack each kids' outfits in zip-top bags.  If you "squish" them, they'll help you economize on space, and make mornings a snap.
    • Use Magical Express.  This is a lifesaver, because you won't have to deal with baggage claim.
    • Give each kid a "travel" bag, filled with dry snacks for the plane and activity books/small trinkets. These activities will help deal with waits and keep them occupied.  The "key" is that your kids don't see anything until the big day.  The novelty alone will buy some time!
    • Take a stroller.  I know your older one wouldn't be caught dead in one at home, but, the amount of walking will have his/her legs begging for a seat.  The stroller will also enable you to keep better tabs on the kids, provide a place to store your park bag and enable you to move between attractions quickly.
    • On the same "safety" theme - identify your kids.  I use mailing labels that have my cell phone on them and stick them to their backs. Show your kids how to I.D. a Cast Member in the event they get lost.
    • Use "companion" restrooms.  These are located throughout the parks and make it a snap to take a potty break.
    • Make advanced dining reservations to make meal time less stressful by calling (407) 939-3463.

Finally, have a magical trip!  The trips I've taken with my boys were amazing.  We trekked through the parks like the "three mouseketeers" and  had a blast!
