If we book for this year and our plans change would we be able to modify for next year and would that lock in the price of our tickets and accommodation ?

Greetings, Sian! How wonderful to hear that you're planning a visit to Disneyland Resort later this year, and equally as wonderful that you've found planDisney to help with your vacation planning questions!

No matter how well we think we've planned every detail, there are those rare instances when things change and we have to rely on flexibility in our vacation plans! I think I've tracked down a few applicable statements in the terms and conditions for tickets, hotel reservations, and Disneyland Resort vacation packages that might be helpful to review as you confirm your plans.

First, let's talk about theme park tickets! If you were to purchase a multi-day ticket to Disneyland Resort today, it would be valid for use up until January 12, 2025, whereas a 1-day ticket would be eligible for use now through December 30, 2024. However, if you purchased tickets now and found that you could not use them by those expiry dates, there is a provision that allows the cost of a wholly unused ticket to be applied to the purchase of a new ticket of equal or greater value. This would likely extend the period of eligible use of the new ticket purchase for a date in the future and hopefully this will align with your plans!

Now, if you're like me and you like to book everything together, a Disneyland Resort vacation package might work well for you. Your vacation package includes your multi-day tickets and a stay at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotel properties (my favorite is Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa) or one of the Good Neighbor hotels in proximity. The terms and conditions of vacation packages do state that any change to your reservation including the travel dates, length of stay, or room type would require the Guest to pay any applicable difference in price that resulted from those changes.

Another helpful strategy is to reach out to a local travel agency that might have advice specific to your situation and who may even be able to secure your reservations on your behalf. You can also contact Guest Services to find out more about ticket or vacation package purchases.

I hope this is a helpful start, Sian. I know some of these change and cancellation policies can be tricky to navigate, but if we can offer any other recommendations or advice, I hope you'll stop by planDisney again.

In the meanwhile, I'm wishing you Wondrous Journeys!
