Hiya Grant,
Welcome back to planDisney! I’m thrilled that we have been able to help you plan your visit to Walt Disney World Resort thus far and that we have the opportunity to help you today. If you have a question about
Disney Gift Cards, you have come to the right place! When I pack for my visits to the Most Magical Place on Earth, I always have at least one stored in my park bag.
When it comes to booking your
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Packages, Theme Park tickets, and room-only reservations being able to use a Disney Gift Card for payment is a great benefit. No matter how much or how little money is on your Disney Gift Card, it can be used towards your purchases. One thing you should know, though, is that you cannot use multiple Disney Gift Cards in the same transaction. So say, for instance, your total is $1000, you cannot input 2 $500 Disney Gift Cards to pay for your transaction. You could input one Gift Card and then be prompted to pay the remaining balance utilizing another form of payment, such as a debit/credit card. With that said, Grant, let me share with you what I like to do when using Disney Gift Cards to pay for my reservations. I like to combine all of my different Disney Gift Card balances onto one card before making purchases. Each Disney Gift Card can store up to $1000 total at one time on a single card which is perfect for things such as vacation packages and Theme Park tickets. To combine your cards, visit the Disney Gift Card website, log onto the site using your Disney account information, input each card number, select one card to be your “main card,” and transfer the other card balances (up to $1,000) to the card you selected. Then use that card for your purchases!
I hope this was helpful, Grant! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
