I was about to book a vacation package yesterday, but I got distracted by my children. Today, the same package is $800 more. How often do prices change? Should I just keep trying to get a better price by checking back frequently?

    Catherine:

With four kids, I can feel your pain!

Prices don't usually go up when you're comparing apples to apples with Disney--and that may be your problem.  One of my most common mistakes when I go online to the www.disneyworld.com website is that I'll click on an offer (like free dining) in a Disney newsletter or choose the website's "special offers" button, but may not purchase until I've talked it over with my husband.  In the meantime, I've lost the link AND the awesome price I wanted him to see!

I have found that if I don't go back to the free dining page before making my reservation, or click on the special offers button before moving further into the site to make the reservation, I may just get full rack-rate prices....

If this doesn't help, come back to me via my bio page, and we'll try something else!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
