Hi! I want to book a vacation package for the 2nd week of September. With growing concerns about the Delta variant, if I book it and Disneyland CA has to close, will I get a refund?

    Hello Amy,

It's wonderful to hear that you're planning a vacation to "The Happiest Place on Earth!"

When you use the "Book Your Vacation Package" features to book your stay at one of the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort and add theme park tickets, you'll have an opportunity to review all the Terms and Conditions on the "Your Cart" page just before you complete the check out for your booking.

Amy, let me share a quick overview of the current "Cancellations and Refunds" policies.

If you make your cancellation 30 days or more before you arrive, you would receive a refund of the amount you paid, and any third-party fees and non-refundable costs like a travel protection plan would be taken out of the refund.

If you make your cancellation 5 days to 29 days before your arrival, you would be charged a $200 cancellation fee, and your refund would have third-party fees and non-refundable costs taken out.

If you make your cancellation 4 days or less before your arrival, or in the event of a no-show, the full package price would be non-refundable.

You could call the Disneyland Resort at (714) 520-5060 to handle the cancellation of your vacation package.

It's helpful to take a look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar as you're planning your stay. The calendar will help you see what theme park reservations can be made for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park.

Amy, if you're looking for recommendations as you make your plans, just ask here at planDisney. We're always happy to offer suggestions based on our own Disney destination vacations.

Here's wishing you a wonderful Disneyland Resort vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Jerry, Pennsylvania

The playful and creative optimism of all things Disney has enthralled me since I was a kid. I loved watching "The Wonderful World of Disney" on Sunday nights, seeing all the live-action and animated classics in theaters, and — of course — visiting "The Most Magical Place on Earth" for the first time 45 years ago. These days, the big kid in me still loves to play Disney. As a long-time Disney destinations vacationer, I'm looking forward to helping you play Disney starting here at planDisney!
