Can I book a vacation package with 4 day park pass now and maybe change it to a 5 day pass later? We plan to be going for 6 nights staying at POP in Nov/Dec this year, and not sure if we need that rest day or not?

Hi Tram. Thank you for reaching out to planDisney with your question!

November and December are such great times to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. I love all of the fall and winter holidays and the resorts are usually decorated in their absolute best during this time of year. Whether it's the fall decorations or the holiday ones, there's just something so warm and inviting everywhere you look. If you have never experienced Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park, I highly recommend you check it out. Not only is the atmosphere in the park so festive, but the nighttime spectacular, the parade, and all of the holiday treats are just some of the reasons why this event is not to be missed in my opinion! Be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for any announcements about this event or any other festivities that may be offered this year.

I'm happy to report that at this time, you are usually able to add tickets to your package at a later date as long as there is availability. To change your ticket after your vacation has been booked, you would log on to your My Disney Experience account on a computer. Select "My Plans" from the "My Disney Experience" menu. Then, you would scroll down to "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets." Click on "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker." This is where you will see all of the members in your travel party. Underneath these details, you would click "Change Ticket," select all of the names whose tickets you'd like to change, and click "Continue." This is where you'll be able to add days to your tickets. Just be sure to make Theme Park Reservations for the park you'd like to visit on this extra day.

While everyone and every family is different, I always recommend a rest day if possible. I understand that there is so much to see and do at the resort, but sometimes that rest day in the middle can do a lot to recharge your batteries. And there are so many things you can do on your rest day if you don't want to just rest all day. Disney's Pop Century Resort has some great pool options. It's also on the Disney Skyliner route. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities! Not only is this mode of transportation an attraction in and of itself, but it connects you to some great dining opportunities like Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera at the gorgeous Disney's Riviera Resort, which has a wonderful character breakfast and a mouth-watering dinner service. You could also rest during the day and then go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at night. This way, you're getting your rest and your fill of the parks!

No matter what you choose, you are bound to have a wonderful vacation. Please feel free to reach out again in the future should have any other questions!

The spirit of the season never has to end as long as you keep your loved ones near and the holiday wish in your heart,
    Matt
