Hi Casey,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am thrilled to hEAR that you are planning a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
The good news is that as long as there is availability for your new dates, you should be able to
modify that
vacation package. I would suggest that you make those changes 30 or more days prior to arrival. Remember that, although you may modify a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package, if you have any
advanced dining reservations or
Disney Park Pass system reservations, you will need to cancel those separately and make new ones that correspond to your modified dates.
Prior to modifying, always check the
Special Offers to see if there are any new offers applicable to the new travel dates. Also, when you book a vacation package, be sure to link that package in your
My Disney Experience account. To do so, log into My Disney Experience, click on My Plans, and then click on Add More Plans. Select
Link Reservations and Purchases.
If you have to change your dates, prior to selecting the new dates, I recommend that you check the
theme park reservation availability calendar to make sure that there are park pass reservations available for those new dates. And, make note of your
advanced dining reservation booking window. Currently, it is 60-days prior to arrival.
Casey, life happens. We have changed our trip dates in the past. The first time I changed dates, I forgot to cancel our dining reservations and was charged a fee for the first one, so now I always remember to cancel those as well! I trust you all will get those dates settled. We are so excited to welcome you to the magic!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
