I want to book a vacation for the first week of January, the 2nd through the 11th. When will I be able to do so online ? Will there be any special events happening the same time?

    Hi Shannon,

I'm so glad to hear that you are thinking ahead and getting ready to plan your 2015 Walt Disney World vacation. Historically, the rates and packages for the following year are announced mid to late summer. With that said, I would keep an eye out on the website as that could be very soon.

If you are considering some of the really popular dining locations for some of your meals such as Cinderella's Royal Table, Le Cellier, Be Our Guest Restaurant or Chef Mickey's, you will also want to be planning ahead for those as well. You can make advanced dining reservations as early as 180 days out and many of these will book up very quickly. You can make dining reservations online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463). As of right now, you can book reservations for the first few days of January. You do not need your rooms reservation to do this. Once you book these reservations, you can link them to your My Disney Experience account to be connected with your rooms reservation or package at a later date.

In regards to special events during that first week or so of January, the only special event that I know of at this point is the Walt Disney World Marathon weekend which is scheduled for January 7-11, 2015. Don't worry, though, there is still lots to see and do even when there are no special events.

Have a magical trip and feel free to stop by with more questions. I'd love to help you out.
