Want to book vaca with dining plan for me and my mom. My mom has an annual pass and I do not and so we would not be booking a package. Can I add the dining plan to our trip if I call Disney or do we both have to be purchasing tickets to be able to get it?

    Hi Justine,

The Disney Dining Plan can only be added as part of a Magic Your Way package which includes a room and park tickets for everyone staying in the room. An exception to this is if you are Disney Vacation Club Members, in which case you can add on the Dining Plan to your reservation. Since you both need to purchase tickets in order to get the Dining Plan, there is one option that you may want to consider: I know several Annual Passholders (AP) who have visited in the same situation with you (one person in room has pass and one doesn't). What they do is they both purchase tickets and then the AP member just saves the ticket for a future trip when their Annual Pass expires. As long as the ticket isn't activated, it won't expire.

Wishing you a wonderful vacation with your Mom,
