Hiya, Amy!
Aloha, and welcome to planDisney, friend! Can I start off by saying you have excellent taste?
Disney's Port Orleans Riverside Resort and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort happen to be two of my favorite places to stay in Walt Disney World Resort. I just returned from Riverside and I have a trip planned for the Polynesian in just a few months. I've had the pleasure of visiting both of these resorts multiple times, and they are both amazing places to call your home away from home during your upcoming stay. The theming, while different, is immersive and impressive at both locations. The
feature pools are
excellent, and the
recreational offerings provide so much to do that you could spend an entire trip enjoying all these
resorts have to offer.
Reservations for a stay at the Polynesian can book quickly, and well in advance. You can reserve a room at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel up to 499 days before checking in. If your upcoming trip is for November of 2023, the booking window is not open just yet, and this would be why there is no availability. If you are planning for November of 2022, there is a
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend taking place very close to your travel date. This event is so much fun and a large number of Guests attend each year. Due to the popularity of this event, there may be limited availability at some Disney Resort hotels. I want to mention that there has been more than one occasion where this resort was not initially available for my desired travel dates. But I am a firm believer that if at first, you don't succeed, try try again! Travel plans change all the time, for everyone. I recommend continuing to check for the availability for your upcoming trip. And while there is no guarantee, sometimes accommodations open up, and you will be able to modify your existing reservation. Should your dates become available, you can modify your current reservation through
My Disney Experience on the Walt Disney World website. Choose the
My Plans option from the My Disney Experience drop-down menu. Next to your resort hotel information will be a link to
Change Reservation. Select this option to modify your resort on the next page. You can go from Port Orleans to Poly in just a few moments. You can also reach out to a friendly Cast Member with
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations to make modifications.
Amy, should your travel plans remain the same and your incredible stay is at Port Orleans Riverside, plan an evening (or two) to see
Yehaa Bob Jackson. This lively, fun show will not disappoint! The infamous piano bar-style sing-along is perfect for all ages and will leave you with nothing but smiles! And don't forget to stop by Port Orleans French Quarter for the infamous
Mickey beignets!
I hope that your upcoming adventure is magical!
We'll see ya real soon!
