Would like to book two rooms for a friend/family trip. Is it possible to book a room for us using our points and a room for friends not using points at the same time?

    Hi there Angela,

Welcome to planDisney! It's always great to hear from a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I hope you're enjoying your Disney Vacation Club Membership like me! I'm so glad you asked a great question about booking a resort stay, let's take a look.

I chatted with Member Services today and they confirmed that yes, you can use your Vacation Points for a stay and also book a cash stay for your friends. They will, however, be treated as separate reservations. You can go ahead and book your resort reservation on the DVC website but when booking a cash stay, you will need to phone Member Services (they will assist with the cash booking). If instead, you prefer to complete everything online, you can book the cash stay through the Walt Disney World Resort's official website

If your friends are staying at the same resort and you'd like to have rooms close together, you can note the request at the time of booking (either online or over the phone). They cannot guarantee the rooms will be close together but they do try their best to accommodate requests.

I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning, Angela. Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any other DVC or planning questions!

    Welcome Home,
