Hi Christine and welcome home! Having multiple friends and family members stay with us in our Disney Vacation Club villa is one of the main reasons we chose to join DVC. We’ve taken grandparents, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members for some memorable multi-generational trips!
Christine, I have some great news for you. So long as you have enough
Vacation Points and there are multiple rooms available, you can use your DVC membership to book two rooms for the same travel dates! If you’re hoping to book connecting rooms, I highly suggest the resort studios at
Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows or the
Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, as those resorts have connecting studio villas.
If there aren’t multiple rooms available, don’t fret! You have a couple options at your disposal. First, you can always
create a waitlist for the second DVC villa. In order to do so, search for the desired resort, travel dates, and room type. From there, choose the selected travel dates that are unavailable to book and select on the option “Waitlist This Entire Stay”. Second, you can always consider some of the larger room types, such as two-bedroom villas. Availability for bigger rooms such as one and two-bedroom villas are generally better than availability for studio villas. Plus, with these room types you have the added benefit of a dedicated kitchen, complete with stove and dishwasher, along with an in-unit washer and dryer!
If you don’t have enough points in your current Use Year to book both rooms, I have a couple of recommendations. First, you can borrow points from your next
Use Year’s allotment of points to complete the reservations. In addition, you can also purchase up to 24
One-Time-Use Points directly from DVC to fulfill a reservation. This is a great option for those of us who always seem to be running out of points! Another bonus tip: if you plan on purchasing any One-Time-Use Points, I highly recommend looking into the
Membership Magic Beyond option. One of the many awesome benefits of this optional program is bonus One-Time-Use Points it offers for every point you purchase. That means that for the price of 12 One-Time-Use Points, you’ll receive an additional 12 One-Time-Use Points for a total of 24 points available towards a booking!
Christine, I hope you find this information helpful. If you need any additional information, please do not hesitate to reach out to me and my fellow panelists here at
