Walt Disney World recently rolled out a new option, which replaces the old FastPass+ system. The new
Disney Genie service gives you a chance to build an itinerary for your day in the
theme parks, with customized recommendations and updates throughout the day. You also have an option to purchase
Genie+, which works similarly to FastPass. You'll be able to book the next available window for the attractions you want to visit beginning at 7 AM if you are a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. This can be done right in your
My Disney Experience app. You can make your second selection two hours later or as soon as you've used your first Genie+ lightning lane attraction.
You can add Genie+ to your tickets (if you've already purchased them) after midnight on the day you want to use the service, Barbara. If you haven't purchased your
theme park passes yet, you'll have the option to add it when you do buy them.
Now let's talk dining reservations. You can
make the reservations online, or you can use your My Disney Experience app for this as well. On your phone, when you open the app, you'll see a plus + sign at the bottom of the page. When you click that, your first option will be Check Dining Availability. Then you can put in your dates and number of people to find a reservation. It will also let you filter by theme park, so you can see only the
EPCOT availability.
