Can you book a trip a year ahead of time?

    Hey there, Mary!

I hope you're having a magical day! Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you stopped by. I see you're getting a head start on planning your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort.

I love booking my trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth as soon as dates become available. Typically, dates for the following year are released from late spring to early summer the year before. As soon as the dates I need are available, I reserve them. After booking, I check the official Disney website periodically for special offers. Once I find an offer that matches my dates, I call Disney so a friendly Cast Member can apply it to my current reservation. This helps ensure I get the Disney Resort hotel I want and am among the first to book, securing availability.

While you're on the Disney website, be sure to check out any seasonal events happening during your preferred dates. When I plan in advance, I like to research what's going on at Walt Disney World to choose the best time to visit. For example, right now, the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is in full bloom. This festival is a fantastic way to enjoy the World Showcase and sample food and drinks from around the globe. I love seeing the beautiful topiaries and all the gorgeous flowers that transform EPCOT into a stunning masterpiece. There's so much to experience during this festival! I recommend researching in advance and making a list of your must-dos to avoid feeling overwhelmed.

I also like to make a list of Disney Resort hotels I might be interested in. By researching in advance, I know exactly what I want. Staying at a Disney Resort hotel offers amazing benefits like complimentary transportation and Early Theme Park Entry, two big reasons I always choose to stay on property. I encourage you to check out all the perks of staying on-site!

Mary, thank you again for stopping by. It's been a pleasure helping you today! Please visit again anytime.

    Your personal planning companion,
    Michelle
