I want to book a trip to WDW for the middle of October this year but wondering if I should hold off on booking in case there will be any new promotions...?? Do you know of any upcoming promos??

You're off to a great start, Christine, because October is a fabulous time to visit.  Not only are you likely to find very manageable crowd levels, but so, too, will you have the opportunity to attend some the best special events; both Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will be going on in October.

As for promotions, unfortunately the moms on the panel aren't privy to any insider information.  We find out about discounts when the general public does.  One thing I can tell you, though, is that you should keep a close eye on both the Disney Parks Blog as well as the special offers page for any news about promotions.  Don't put off booking your trip, though; you can always book now and apply the promotion later, assuming there is availability.  I hope that helps!
