Hey there, Anthony!
Thanks so much for stopping in to see us at planDisney!
I recommend a two-step approach to booking a Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
The first step I recommend is to take a look at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to see that the theme parks you wish to visit have Disney Park Pass reservations available for the days you wish to visit.
The next step I recommend is to use the
"Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today" tool to put together your trip. One great feature of this tool is that you can save up to three different vacation packages to review and compare.
To use the "Book your Walt Disney World Vacation today" tool, simply provide some basic information about your travel plans -- check-in date, check-out date, and the number of adults and children (and their ages). You'll quickly see a wide range of choices from the
Disney Resorts Collection.
You'll likely want to use the search filters to help tailor the list to your preferences. For example, do you have a particular Resort location in mind to be closer to one of the theme park areas or to Disney Springs? Do you have a Resort characteristic in mind, like a preference for a Resort located along the Monorail or Skyliner? You will also likely want to spend some time looking at the Resort overviews and room rates to see information and photos of the room layouts, sleeping accommodations, and amenities. Once you select your Resort, you can move on to purchasing theme park tickets.
When purchasing your theme park tickets, you'll be prompted to check for park reservation availability. This is why I suggested checking availability as the first step. You'll then be prompted to select the number of days you want to visit the theme parks, and select your options such as the Park Hopper Option (I always recommend adding the Park Hopper Option). You should see that the package planning tool automagically adds in the number of tickets you'll need for ages 10+ and ages 3-9.
Next you'll be prompted to add on options such as
Memory Maker for your Disney PhotoPass photos, or ground transportation, or travel protection.
At this point, you can check out and book your vacation package, or you could create a new vacation package to compare. If you have questions about the vacation packages you put together, you can call the Walt Disney Resort at (407) 939-7702 and a Cast Member can help you out with your questions.
When you book a vacation package more than 31 days before your arrival date, you would be required to pay a $200 deposit. You could then make payments following your own convenient schedule until you complete the payments in full 30 days before your arrival. You could make payments online through your Disney account. You could also make payments over the phone by calling the Walt Disney Travel Company at (407) 939-7675.
One key step you'll want to complete is to make your theme park reservations through the
Disney Park Pass system.
Anthony, I hope this gives you a helpful overview for booking your Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If you'd like suggestions as you make your plans, ask us here at planDisney. We're here for you and happy to help!
Here's wishing you a great stay!
