When should I book a trip for fall 2019 in order to have the best chance at free dining in a moderate resort?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Linda!

Special Offers on Walt Disney World Resort vacations are exciting, but somewhat unpredictable. We never know when or if a Free Dining Promotion will be released, although I think your chances of seeing an offer of this type is higher in fall than any other time of year. At least, that has been the case over the past few years.

My advice to you would be to make your reservations at a Walt Disney World Resort moderate hotel now. If a Special Offer covering your dates of travel is released at a later date, you can modify your reservation to reflect the offer as long as it applies to the hotel you have selected. You must, however, call to request that the reservation is updated. The Special Offer will not automatically be applied to your reservation. I would also encourage you to make the call and request the revision as soon as the offer is released because it will likely only apply to a limited number of rooms.

So, which of the Walt Disney World Resort moderate hotels is your favorite? Personally, I'm a fan of Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. Its romantic cobblestone streets and homemade beignets just can't be beat. But I'm really excited about the changes taking place at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort recently too, so I hope to book a vacation there soon.

Be sure to build time into your schedule to visit the 2019 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival and don't hesitate to let us know if you need any additional information. We'd be delighted to help!

Sending best wishes and pixie dust,
