if I book a trip now w/ DP & free dining plan is offered after reservation is made, may I alter my trip to include DP for free?

    Hi Debra!

I've got to hand it to the fine folks at Walt Disney World because they've been offering some amazing deals the past few years. The free dining plan offer, in particular, has been really popular with the guests. Go figure, right!

I've yet to run across anything that says you cannot modify an existing reservation in order to take advantage of a newly-offered discount or promotion.  However, keep in mind that these discounts and promotions are subject to certain restrictions.

    Okay, enough legal mumbo jumbo!!

Personally, I have been successful in calling Walt Disney World to modify an existing reservation in order to take advantage of a newly-offered discount or promotion. Of course, that's been when none of the restrictions have applied to my reservation.  (Sorry, that little bit of legal mumbo jumbo slipped out!)

So, keep your eyes and ears open for any new discounts or promotions that may come up and feel free to call up and see if they can be applied to your reservation.  It certainly can't hurt to ask.

I hope that helps and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

If you should have any other questions, feel free to stop back by the Disney Parks Moms Panel and we'll be happy to help in any way that we can.
