Hi Amy,
Welcome to planDisney!
As one who loves a good budget, I understand the happiness of saving money! I advise you to keep checking the
Special Offers to see if one gets released that is applicable to the dates of your visit. If one does get released, you will need to
contact a Cast Member by phone to see if it can be applied to your existing reservation or, you might be able to cancel your existing reservation online and then make a new one with the Special Offer. Just be careful to avoid any cancellation penalties and, if you have
Disney Park Pass system reservations, you want those to remain in place.
I will say that a Special Offer is not automatically applicable to your reservation. I called to take advantage of one in the past and was lucky enough to get it applied to our reservation, but there is no guarantee. I would also check the terms of the Special Offer very carefully. I remember thinking that I would save quite a bit of money, but we did not save as much as I hoped because we could not combine offers.
As you continue to plan, do make sure you have park pass reservations. Keep an eye on the
theme park reservation availability calendar just in case you want to change park pass reservations. Do not cancel any park pass reservations to make new ones without first checking to make sure there is park pass availability.
Also keep an eye on the
operational updates to review important changes to policies, procedures,
dining and
theme park experiences. Make sure you have downloaded the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. I often use the mobile app to make or review plans.
Amy, I am sending a little pixie dust hoping that you are able to take advantage of a Special Offer. Most exciting, you will be visiting just after the launch of
The World's Most Magical Celebration! We cannot wait to welcome you to a world of magic.
Magic and memories,
Donyell
