Hello, If I book a trip for my daughters 3rd birthday, but we arrive a day before she turns 3 will she need a ticket if we stay offsite at a good neighbor hotel? We will arrive July 17, Her Bday is July 18.

Hi there, Valerie!  Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

I cannot think of a more magical way to celebrate a birthday than with a visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  I'm sure your whole family is going to have the best time ever celebrating your little princess on her special day!  Be sure to pick up a happy birthday button for your daughter at a Guest Relations location.  She will love all of the birthday well-wishes she receives from other Guests and Cast Members.

Children age 3 and up do require tickets to visit the Walt Disney World theme parks, so be sure to include your daughter in the count when you purchase your theme park tickets.  You'll also want to make sure that you book theme park reservations for everyone in your party as those are currently also required for admission.

If you're planning to book a dining reservation for your little one's birthday celebration, you may want to consider adding a specialty cake to your booking.  You can also take a look at the Enchanting Extras Collection for more ideas on how to make your celebration even more magical.

As you get ready to visit Walt Disney World Resort with your little princess, be sure to check out our planDisney Guide to Planning your Walt Disney World Resort Vacation with Little Ones.  We also have an episode of the planDisney Podcast devoted to this topic.  I think you'll find that these resources will really help you make the most of your time in The Most Magical Place on Earth.

Wishing your daughter a very happy birthday and your whole family a very magical vacation!
