Greetings Tara!
Welcome to planDisney! I’m thrilled to help you plan your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort. I’m also planning a trip right now, and I’m getting soo excited! There is so much happening at Walt Disney World! If you have more questions as you fine-tune your trip, please reach out; I’d love to help further.
There are many different options for getting from Orlando International Airport to Walt Disney World Resort, but they are not available for booking through Disney. Unfortunately, Disney’s Magical Express Express is no longer operating, but you can still travel via bus, rideshare, or by renting a car.
BusIf a bus is your preferred method of travel,
Mears Connect and
Sunshine Flyer currently offer transportation to
Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels. Both services come at an additional cost and require pre-booking. You can learn more about them via their websites.
RideshareUber or Lyft are always a popular option for Guests heading to Walt Disney World Resort. You don’t have to wait around at the airport for the buses to depart because you can book a ride to fit your schedule. Due to the popularity, I can always find an Uber or Lyft ready to pick me up from Ground Transportation in under 10 minutes.
Rental CarWhen I travel to Walt Disney World Resort, my family and I prefer to rent a car. It is super easy to pick up a car at Orlando International and drive the short 30-minute drive to Walt Disney World if you like this option. We love avoiding the crowds trying to use the complimentary transportation on property during rope drop and park close. You will have to pay for parking at the resort hotels when you bring a vehicle, so that is something to consider.
If you need anything else, please reach back out to our panelists at planDisney.
Happy Planning!
