Welcome aboard, Nick!
I’m excited to see that your fabulous
Disney Cruise Line vacation is just ahead on the horizon! It looks like you’ll also be sailing during the holiday season, making yours a
Very Merrytime Cruise! There’s so much to enjoy onboard and many incredibly festive sights and sounds when cruising at this special time of year. Thanks for asking about the fun opportunity to tour your stunning cruise ship. I’m happy to share what’s available and how to attend.
There are typically two tours available onboard each Disney Cruise Line ship: a general walking tour available to all ages and one offered to those age 18 and up called “Art of the Theme Show” which has a more in-depth look at the features and style of the ship through the eyes of an Imagineer. Good news – both are free of charge and there is no formal sign-up process. These are usually offered on embarkation day, and you just need to know when they are offered to join the group at the designated location.
Before you travel, please be sure to download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App and ensure it’s been updated just before your trip. When you are in the port terminal or once onboard, you can flip your Disney Cruise Line Navigator App into
“onboard mode.” This will then populate your specific itinerary with all the wonderful details for your cruise, including daily activities, your dining rotation, and specific daily menus. You’ll find these tours listed in the app and can head to the right spot at the right time to join the fun! I like to browse the daily activities and select the “heart” icon next to those I may want to attend; the app will then send you a reminder of upcoming events so that you aren’t late. It’s easy to lose track of time onboard while you’re relaxing and enjoying
everything the ships have to offer.
I hope this helps you plan some time on your first days to explore the ship and perhaps learn a few things about the Disney details that make these vessels so very special.
Please let us know how else we can help you make the most of your sailing at this most magical time of year at sea!
Wishing you a very merry cruise,
Amy
