Can I book a time earlier than opening for Savis workshop

Hi there, Debbie! Welcome to planDisney.

A visit to Savi's Workshop is an amazing treat for any Star Wars fan. I had goosebumps when I visited Savi's secret lightsaber building shop, and when my young Padawan recently built his own lightsaber he was equally wowed. His lightsaber is one of his prized possessions and he talks about his building experience all the time!

In my experience, Savi's Workshop does sometimes open before the official opening time for Disney's Hollywood Studios. Reservations before theme park opening are extremely popular, so if you are hoping to secure an early time, you'll need to make this your highest priority when the time comes to make your reservations. If you'll be a Disney Resorts Collection hotel Guest, you will be able to make reservations for the length of your stay 60 days in advance of your check-in date for up to 10 days. If you'll be staying off-site, you'll make reservations 60 days in advance of each day of your visit, one day at a time. Note that you will need a Theme Park Reservation for Disney's Hollywood Studios on the same day as your Savi's Workshop reservation.

If you do secure a reservation at Savi's Workshop before Disney's Hollywood Studios opens, I recommend arriving about 30 minutes before your reservation time. Sometimes Guests are allowed into the park before theme park opening; if that's the case, you can enter the park and make your way toward Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. If Guests are not being allowed into the park when you arrive, look for a Cast Member; there is often a tapstile open just for Guests with early reservations. Be sure to read the Know Before You Go information on the Savi's Workshop webpage so you're best prepared for your epic experience.

May the Force be with you on your visit to Batuu, Debbie! This land is absolutely breathtaking to explore, so take your time and notice all the details. I like to advise Guests to take a look at a Park Map before a visit to Batuu, as the signs throughout the land are in the planet's native language. There are friendly Cast Members stationed throughout, so feel free to stop for directions - just don't ask any Stormtroopers! Savi is trying to keep a low profile.

Thanks for stopping by with your question. If you think of anything else as you prepare for your visit, we're standing by and ready to help with the plans for your out-of-this-world Walt Disney World Resort vacation.
