Hello, Ella!
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited for you! Going to the Disneyland Resort and staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is such a magical experience!
You certainly can buy your tickets and book your Disneyland Resort stay separately via the Disneyland Resort website. There you'll be able to
choose the best option for your needs, considering dining options, proximity to the theme parks, style, and room sizes.
My personal favorite is
Disney's Grand Californian Resort & Spa. I can't resist the atmosphere and all the dining options.
Napa Rose is a dream for special dinners, while
GCH Craftsman Grill is my go-to place for early breakfasts before going to the theme parks. This hotel also has an exclusive entrance to Disney California Adventure Park, which makes it super convenient!
The
Disneyland Hotel is not far behind in my heart's ranking, though. Let's say that the headboards in the rooms have magic touches that will melt your heart. The pool area is extraordinary and perfect for hardcore, classic Disney fans!
In terms of tickets, you'll be able to choose between
One Park Per Day or Park Hopper tickets. The second option will allow you to switch between the theme parks starting at 1:00 PM, and it's perfect for shorter trips.
After you buy your tickets and book your room at a Disneyland Resort Hotel, don't forget to make park reservations to ensure that you can enter the theme parks of your choice. After that comes my favorite part: making some dining reservations! I never skip Napa Rose,
Carthay Circle, and an afternoon break at the
GCH Craftsman Bar.
You'll also find plenty of Quick Service options (meaning that they don't require reservations) at the Theme Parks. My favorites at Disney California Adventure Park are
Pym Test Kitchen's PB3 Superb Sandwich and Pym-ini Sandwich. At Disneyland Park, I always choose
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo's Felucian Kefta & Hummus Garden Spread. I hope you like them too!
Please let us know if you have more questions before this fantastic adventure. We'll be thrilled to help!
May the magic be with you,
Julie
