I book tickets for April but can't seem to make the reservation for the park. What should I do.

    Hi Andre!

We are so glad you stopped by planDisney with your question! April is such a great month to be visiting the Happiest Place on Earth. In addition to all the classic attractions and entertainment, you'll also be visiting during Disney California Adventure Park Food & Wine Festival! I often try to plan a Disneyland Resort vacation just to be there in time for this unique festival celebrating all that California has to offer from food to art to music. One of my favorite things to do is watch some of the culinary demonstrations from Disney chefs who will sometimes even share a secret recipe or two! There's nothing more delectable than being able to recreate a recipe from the parks once you get home to bring a little piece of the magic back with you.

I'm thrilled to hear that you are aware that you will need a theme park reservation in addition to your admission ticket and that you are eager to lock in those dates! It's always a great idea to get your plans in place even if they may not be set in stone as reservations can always be changed but are subject to availability. Reservations can be made up to 120 days in advance and I have wonderful news! I just took a peek at the theme park reservation calendar and I can see that it is now open for the month of April! If you have Park Hopper tickets, you will want to select the park where you are planning to start your day with hopping available after 1 p.m.

Another note for your calendar is that dining reservations open up 60 days in advance if you are looking to make any special plans during your stay. I am an early riser and like to get to the parks at opening, which generally means I am ready for a break from the sun and park hustle and bustle around lunchtime. I love having a dining reservation in place so that I know I have somewhere to get a midday recharge. Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park is my absolute favorite. The menu is outstanding and where else can you watch fellow Guests sail away on their adventure through the Pirates of the Caribbean?!

Andre, I hope this was helpful in your planning and that your trip is filled with some extra pixie-dusted magic! Feel free to stop by planDisney anytime!
