Welcome, Paula, to planDisney. I'm happy to answer your question today!
If you are purchasing
theme park tickets only,
you must pay for them in full at the time of purchase. If you're
purchasing a vacation package 30 days or less before arrival, full payment is due at the time of booking. While you don't
have to purchase your tickets ahead of your visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort, it is highly recommended that you do if you are visiting the week of Christmas. Even though the theme parks do not close to capacity very often, when they do, it's usually during this time of year, especially for
Magic Kingdom Park and
EPCOT. You can find the forms of payment accepted at the resort on the
Paying with Multiple Credit Cards page of the site. In addition, U.S. cash can be used to pay for tickets in person as well.
Once your theme park tickets are secured, you're ready for a holiday vacation to remember. The parks will be full of
holiday decor to delight,
treats to make your belly jiggle like a bowl full of jelly, and an atmosphere to lift your spirits. During Christmas week, you'll want to ensure you're arriving at the theme parks early and only leaving a park if you're sure that you're done for the day. This way, if the parks fill to capacity, you can avoid disappointment. But don't let that scare you, as long as you do a little planning and set your expectations ahead of time, it'll be a blast. After all, you're in the Most Magical Place on Earth during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!
Paula, if you have any other questions,
I'm happy to answer them. And while you're planning, be sure to look into the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, which is
taking place until December 30th, 2024.
No worries for the rest of your days,
Matt
