Hey Howdy Hey Thomas and welcome to planDisney!
Thank you so much for reaching out with your question about Good Neighbor hotel accommodations. I will be happy to help you find an answer to your question!
There are so many benefits to booking hotel accommodations with our
Good Neighbor partners. Not only will you have some, if not all, of the perks of staying in a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel such as
advanced dining reservations and
Enchanting Extras Collection reservations open 60 days from your date of travel, but you will also be so close to the Magic of the Disney parks that you will not have to spend long getting almost anywhere on Disney property! Now there are many similarities to booking a reservation with our Good Neighbor friends, but unfortunately, they do not all have the same policy when it comes to cancellation or change fees. The best and most up-to-date information would come directly from them. I would recommend reaching out directly to the hotels you are considering to get a copy of their terms and conditions for booking a trip. You should find all of their fees associated with any concerns you may have.
As you are considering the terms and conditions of the hotels, if you have any doubts at all or just want and little extra protection, I would highly advise looking into travel insurance. This is available from many companies and is a nice way to make sure that if anything unexpected does come up, you are covered. Make sure to read over the policy so that it would cover the things you are concerned about if you were to have to cancel a trip or cut it short. One place to start looking is the company that you have your homeowners/renters or car insurance with. Often these companies do have travel insurance available for a discount to current policyholders!
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your upcoming trip. Please feel free to stop back and let us know if you have any further questions, we would be happy to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Nick
