I can book a table for 4 at The Boathouse, DDT but it shows no availability if I look up a table for just 2. I wanted a special meal with hubby that night whilst our teenagers are happy to eat elsewhere. Should I book for 4 and then cancel 2 TIA

Hello Suzan! If you are set on having a reservation, I suggest calling the restaurant directly and asking for a table for two. If that doesn't work, I would book the table for four and just have your children eat elsewhere. You won't be charged anything if they don't show. I do want to let you know that The Boathouse has a lovely dockside bar, and an indoor bar. Both are full service. My fellow Moms Panelist Ana and I were able to walk right in and enjoy a drink and a meal without any reservations. I'm not sure if the bar atmosphere is something you'd consider, but I have nothing but nice things to say about my experience there. The meal that we had there was the best meal of the entire trip. I had the Mahi Mahi tacos and the Mai Tai and both were amazing.

When you go don't forget to check out an amphicar launch. I was able to catch one last week while I was there and it was very interesting.

If you need anything else please don't hesitate to ask. I hope you have a fun night out with your husband, and a magical Walt Disney World vacation.
