can i book for summer 2027

    Hey Pamela,

Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you’re here with this question. As a planner myself, I am always thinking ahead to next year’s vacations. A visit to Walt Disney World resort in 2027 sounds like magic to me, and planning for it in advance is the way to go.

Historically, Disney World has opened their bookings for the following year in late spring or early summer. I do think we can expect to hear about 2027 bookings launching soon, but this is subject to change. The best way to stay informed on this and all things Disney Parks is to keep up with the Disney Parks Blog. An announcement will definitely be made there when 2027 reservations open.

Once 2027 reservations launch, you can pay a small deposit on your vacation package and make incremental payments via your My Disney Experience account up to 30 days prior to your arrival date. This is such a great way to manage the cost of your trip. Since you’re booking so early, I’d recommend setting reminders for key milestones such as when you can book advance dining reservations, Enchanting Extras (60 days prior to arrival) and Lightning Lane passes (7 days prior to arrival). Also, don’t forget to check out the Special Offers page before booking to be sure that you’re securing the best deal available for your trip. Did you know that you can call the resort to apply a qualifying promotion if it drops after you’ve booked your vacation? Cast members will be happy to help with this over the phone.

If you’re unsure of how long your stay should be, start with the Ticket Buying Guide  - it will help you figure that out so you can build the rest of your trip around your park days. I always recommend planning for a resort day to rest between park visits. That time to recharge can’t be beat.

I hope this information is helpful, Pamela. If you need additional planning help, I’m just a link away. Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and we’ll see ya real soon!
