If I book a suite that sleeps 6, can 7 people stay in the room? And if so does the resort offer roll away bed at extra charge? Thank you.

Howdy Caitlyn! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We love to chat about all things related to Disney vacation planning.

It looks like you're working on a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. Yay! For me, planning the trip is part of the fun, and I enjoy selecting the perfect accommodations for each adventure. Staying at an onsite Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is an absolute must for my family when we vacation. We love the convenient location, complimentary transportation, and extra perks of being a guest at one of these thematically rich resorts. Just recently a few of my Disney Parks Moms Panel friends offered some great tips for choosing the best resort for your family

Caitlyn, the Walt Disney World Resorts abide by occupancy rules, and are not able to accommodate extra guests. A suite that sleeps six can accommodate six guests plus one additional child under the age of 3; a portable crib is provided for the infant guest. You are not able to request a rollaway for a guest that would put your party over the capacity of the resort room.

Hakuna Matata! I have had great experiences traveling with a large party and securing excellent accommodations. If you are interested in one of the value resort hotels that offers suites, such as Disney's All-Star Music Resort and Disney's Art of Animation Resort, another option would be to book two standard rooms and request that they are connecting. My extended family and I have enjoyed connecting rooms at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney's Pop Century Resort. We kept our connecting doors open most of the day, but were able to close them for privacy and sleeping in the evening. It was the ideal situation when we had napping little ones.

Another idea is to consider a two-bedroom villa at a Disney Deluxe Villa. These spacious, luxurious villas sleep eight or nine guests, and offer ample sleeping space, in-unit laundry, and full kitchens.

Wherever you decide to rest your head on vacation, I wish you a magical trip full of memories. If any other questions come up as the planning process continues, please stop by and see us again. We love to help!

Remember - you've got a friend in me!
