Hi there, Patricia!
Welcome to
planDisney - thanks so much for stopping by with your question!
One of my favorite things to do on a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is experiencing different room types at various
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. These are commonly referred to as "split stays" because you are splitting your vacation between different rooms or Resorts. I recently did this at
Disney's Riviera Resort by first staying in a unique Tower Studio for two nights, and then moving on to a 1 Bedroom Villa once two friends joined in. I love getting to have different accommodation experiences and I'm sure you will too!
Currently, reservations can only be made for one room at a time, so you'll need to book each room separately. When I do this, whether I make my reservations online or over the phone, I always
call and speak to a Reservations Cast Member. They can add notes to each reservation so the Front Desk at your Resort knows that you will be moving rooms. When you're ready to switch, you can even have your belongings stored by Bell Services until your new room is ready - feel free to go out and experience a Theme Park or go shopping at Disney Springs! It really is seamless, and by moving to rooms that meet your needs you can actually save money by only reserving the room sizes you need when you need them.
I hope this information helps as you continue planning your vacation - please let me know if I can help answer any other questions!
