If I book a stay on property before my cruise, can I take the DCL bus back to the resort after my cruise, leave my luggage there for the day and come back to get it before going to the airport? I have a late flight on disembarkation day.

Hi, there, Ericca! Welcome to planDisney! You have got the right idea with a land and sea combination. That is my absolute favorite way to vacation, and I'm so glad you brought your question to us about luggage storage.

Bell Services is an exclusive amenity available to all Walt Disney World Guests with a current reservation at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. They will hold your luggage on the day you check into your hotel until your room is ready. They'll also hold your luggage on the day you check out until you're ready to depart. While this is a complimentary service, I do tip according to how many bags I have, which is always appreciated.

I know this probably isn't the answer you were hoping for, yet I do have some ideas for you. The easiest, and maybe even most cost-efficient way to store your luggage while you enjoy your day is to rent a car at the port. Many car rental companies offer a complimentary shuttle to their office for convenience. Then, you can drive to your destination, leave your luggage in a concealed area of your rental (like the trunk) and head straight to the airport after you're done. You'll be able to return your rental there. Another option is to look into private transportation and ask if they offer a driver for a day or even a half day and if you may leave your luggage with your driver. A third option is to do an internet search for luggage storage options. I did a quick search and found a few in the Orlando area.

I'm not sure what your plans are, but if I had several hours before a flight, I'd head to Disney Springs to soak up every last bit of pixie dust I could before returning to the real world. I'd have lunch at The BOATHOUSE, grab a cookie or six at Gideon's Bakehouse, pick up some bath essentials at Basin and snag some chocolates at The Ganachery to take home. Can you tell I'm a huge fan of consumable souvenirs? I like to have some things on hand to extend the magic if I can.

Ericca, I hope you have a fantastic cruise and that you find a solution for your luggage that works for you. Please sail on back to planDisney with any other questions you have.

Have a magical trip and cruise!
