Hello Teia, and welcome to planDisney!
I am so excited to hEAR that you are planning a trip to enjoy the World’s Most Magical Celebration with your family. Grand gatherings at the Walt Disney World Resort are so much fun, but they do take some extra planning.
If your group requires at least 10 rooms at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can contact the
Disney Group Getaways team at (407) 937-7810. They can customize a package for your group that will include special deals on accommodations and theme park tickets. They will work within your budget to create the experience your group has been dreaming of. If your group does not meet those requirements, Hakuna Matata, you can always check out the
special deals, offers, and discounts currently offered to see what meets your needs.
When it comes to booking your stay, you have several options. If your entire group is staying at the same resort, you can book your reservations individually for each couple or family within your group. This would allow each family or smaller travel party to be responsible for paying for their room. Once all your reservations are made, you can call and request for them to be near each other in the resort. While it is not a guarantee, it certainly would not hurt to ask. You also have the option of speaking with a Cast Member by calling
Walt Disney World Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and making all of your reservations and requests at the same time.
Guests booking room-only reservations are required to pay at least the first night’s stay plus tax as a deposit on their room. If you are booking online, you can only use one credit card per transaction. If you are using
multiple forms of payment, for several people in your group, you would need to call (407)939-7675 to arrange a split payment. However, when you arrive at the Walt Disney World Resort, to begin your magical adventure, and if you plan to use
MagicBands to charge food and merchandise to your room account, you can stop by the
front desk to have a different card associated with each adult’s respective MagicBand. This will allow each party sharing a room the flexibility to pay for their own expenses.
I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any more questions, please come back and visit us again here at planDisney.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
