Hiya John,
Welcome Home and welcome to planDisney! Don't you just love the flexibility of the
Disney Vacation Club? You can use points to stay at DVC Resorts or other Disney Destinations, including Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and Disneyland Hotel. We have used ours to stay at Disneyland and DVC has opened up a whole new world for our family trips.
John, to use your DVC Vacation Points to stay at one of these Resorts, you'll want to start by looking up how many Vacation Points you will need for your stay. To do this, simply visit the Disney Vacation Club website, and under the "Destinations" tab, choose "Disney Resort Hotels Near & Far." You can filter it by location so you will want to select
Disneyland Resort California, which will show you Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel and the Disneyland Hotel, and right underneath is a small link that says Points Charts. Here's where you'll find the information you need to calculate how many Vacation Points you'll need for the dates, type of room, and length of your stay.
Then, once you have decided on your travel plans, contact
Member Services who, with a Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo, will magically turn your Vacation Points into Reservation Points, check availability, and book the reservation for you. It's that simple!
Remember that eligible Members receive
Disney Vacation Club Extras and benefits at Disneyland as well, including discounts on shopping, dining, tickets and tours, and events and experiences. I highly recommend taking advantage of this for a special treat at the
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland Park.
John, I hope you have the most magical time on earth making memories at Disneyland. Walking in the footsteps of Walt Disney at his original theme park is truly a dream come true for any Disney fan, and this year is a special one indeed as the 100th year of the Walt Disney Company.
If you have any further questions about your Disney vacation planning, please
stop by and see me here. I love helping my fellow neighbors!
See ya real soon!
Keri
